Mark works predominantly with the structural model of osteopathy and has treated many different problems on people from all over the world. He treats a variety of problems people present with and enjoys the challenges incorporating the use of osteopathy.

While in Dubai Mark trained under a variety of equine practitioners trained from all over the world and worked on endurance, polo, racing,  jumping and equestrian horses. Andy Gordon BSc (Hons) Ost.

Osteopath

Andy qualified as an Osteopath in 2004 from The London School of Osteopathy (University of Brighton) with a Bachelor of Science degree with honours.

His main interests are in biomechanics including all sports from recreational to olympic athletes, to performing arts, strength conditioning and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

Andy works predominantly utilising a structural model which utilise joint manipulative and soft tissue/myofascial release techniques. At present is the only osteopath on the Gold Coast incorporating the "Be Activated" principles and treatment. Be Activated uses a system of reflexes throughout the body that wakes up muscles. Once muscles are awake, they can function at their maximum potential in strength, power, endurance and flexibility. It encompasses a holistic philosophy of what ever is in the body is in the mind and whatever is in the mind is in the body. It is this premise which largely attracted Andy to this method of treatment.

His ability to assess bio-mechanical neuromuscular sequencing and compensation patterns in order to help balance the autonomic nervous system has become a main part of his treatment protocol.

Other modalities utilised as part of his treatment approach are cupping therapy and dry needling.

Andy is currently still a competitive masters athlete competing in beach events (flags/sprints) recently medalling at the Australian and World Surf Lifesaving championships.
